My husband and I actively work on our relationship and have been happily married for over 27 years. We are the proud parents of four grown children and two grandchildren.

Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself to you.

I am honored to meet with couples and individuals to help them identify their issues and meet their personal and relationship goals.

I am an experienced therapist; a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington and Professional Licensed Counselor in Oregon. I meet the highest standards of a National Board Certified Counselor. I am a member of the American Psychological Association and American Counseling Association, a Certified Parenting Coach, and Marriage Counselor. I have worked for years as a university professor of psychology.

All that so say, "I love helping people."

My specialty is in Relationship Repair and sexual wellness. I am trained and experienced in helping couples with trust issues, infidelity, communication/conflict resolution, pornograpy issues, and sexual concerns. My certification in Pre-marriage and Marriage counseling is through Prepare-Enrich with additional training by the Gottman Institute of Marriage and Emotionally Focused Marriage Therapy.

I also work with individuals suffering from anxiety and depression. We get to the root of the issue and learn coping skills to prevent or minimize recurrences.

I enjoy working with families and mothers, having earned a certificate in Parent Coaching from Pepperdine University and studied child therapy at Northwest Center for Play Therapy. For over 20 years I have been a doula, led support groups for mothers, and help women cope with pre & post pregnancy adjustments, postpartum anxiety and depression.

With a background as a Family Pastor, I received training as a Christian Counselor through Hosanna Ministry. I ethically respect each client's worldview and incorporate spiritual practices at the client's request.

I have experience and training helping LGBTQ+ persons and their families have healthy relationships. I specialize in transgender issues. I am a member of ALGBTIC (Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues in Counseling) with training from WPATH (the World Professional Association for Transgender Health).
